MSNBC Anchor Admits "Our Job" Is To "Control Exactly What People Think"

by Justin Deschamps
"The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. ...We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of."
— Edward Bernays, Propaganda

Yesterday, on MSNBC, news anchor Mika Brzezinski let slip that the job of the media is to control the way people think. The comment was made in reference to President Donald Trump, who she says, is "making up facts." But if anything, the mainstream media is the largest disseminator of so-called fake news.

As an example, consider one out of a list of sixteen fake news stories published by The Federalist.
Trump's Treasury pick Steve Mnuchin was smeared by Politico when they reported on one Lorraine Woellert, who published an essay detailing a foreclosure of “a 90-year-old woman after a 27-cent payment error” by Mnuchin's company.
At Politico on December 1, Lorraine Woellert published a shocking essay claiming that Trump’s pick for secretary of the Treasury, Steve Mnuchin, had overseen a company that “foreclosed on a 90-year-old woman after a 27-cent payment error.” According to Woellert: “After confusion over insurance coverage, a OneWest subsidiary sent [Ossie] Lofton a bill for $423.30. She sent a check for $423. The bank sent another bill, for 30 cents. Lofton, 90, sent a check for three cents. In November 2014, the bank foreclosed.”

The story received widespread coverage, being shared nearly 17,000 times on Facebook. The New York Times’s Steven Rattner shared it on Twitter (1,300 retweets), as did NBC News’s Brad Jaffy (1,200 retweets), the AP’s David Beard (1,900 retweets) and many others.

The problem? The central scandalous claims of Woellert’s article were simply untrue. As the Competitive Enterprise Institute’s Ted Frank pointed out, the woman in question was never foreclosed on, and never lost her home. Moreover, “It wasn’t Mnuchin’s bank that brought the suit.”

Politico eventually corrected these serious and glaring errors. But the damage was done: the story had been repeated by numerous media outlets including Huffington Post (shared 25,000 times on Facebook), the New York Post, Vanity Fair, and many others. (Source
And there are other examples to choose from.

In an age of deception, the media is king.
See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda.

Journalism, in its ideal form, serves as a truth dissemination service for the masses, essential for maintaining a fair and honest society. But today, the media has become an agency of mass mind control, a tool used by the hidden controllers of this world to manipulate the public. For many, this reality is becoming more apparent, as trust in mainstream media has declined to a dismal 6%, according to the Associated Press.

Operation Mockingbird was a CIA-led program employing journalists in the 1950s for propaganda purposes that were disseminating new stories through magazines and front organizations. In 1967, the program was outed when Ramparts magazine reported that the National Student Association was being funded by the CIA.

Arguably, the propaganda pushed through the media never really stopped. Consider that the vast majority of purchases consumers make are largely determined by marketing campaigns. Also, consider that the media pushed a fake news story during the run-up to the second Iraq War that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.

In fact, the media works hand-in-glove with the military-industrial complex to ensure false flag operations are successful.

A false flag or Deceptive Indication and Warning is an operation specifically designed to deceive the public to garner support for some clandestine purpose. For example, in 2003, the false claim of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq couldn't have led to U.S. involvement without the media's participation.

Mika Brzezinski was most likely not referring to the social engineers who steer public opinion when she made her comment in the below video, but it is quite revealing in and of itself.

" ... he could have underminded the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think. And that is—that's our job."
Was Brzezinski speaking figuratively or literally? Possibly she wasn't aware of what she was suggesting, but to those who have taken the time to research media manipulation, this could be one of the most honest admissions in history.

Also, what did she mean when she said Trump "trying to make up his own facts?"

A fact is usually regarded as a piece of information that is accepted as true by some organization or group. But are "facts" always true or do they tend to change over time, especially in relation to historical events of a political nature?

In reviewing history, facts are often manufactured or manipulated for different reasons. This means that while a fact should ideally be a reflection of truth, it might not be.

The media usually reports "the facts" or data points that are approved by the government, and by extension, the social engineers. And as anyone who has researched conspiracy knows, there are many "facts" revealed to be false. For example, the official story of the September 11th, 2001 WTC attacks, that 19 hijackers with box cutters overwhelmed NORAD, arguably the most advanced defense system on the planet—is a "fact."

Consider these local media outlets that should ostensibly be generating their own unique coverage of events but were clearly reading from the same government-approved narrative.

Given that facts pushed by the media tend to be weaponized information specifically designed to manipulate public opinion, known as propaganda, perhaps what Brzezinski meant was that Trump is undermining their stranglehold on the truth and the minds of the masses. That is, the manufactured reality pushed by social engineers is at risk when Trump shares contradictory information.

In other words, the fallacious system maintains its grip on the masses because their minds are distorted by falsehoods pushed by the mainstream media. Trump going against their narrative is tantamount to saying the emperor has no clothes.

Whether or not Trump is a genuine individual trying to restore prosperity and freedom remains to be seen. But what seems to be abundantly clear is that certain factions within the heights of power are working tirelessly to discredit him.

So long as the people continue not to exercise their critical thinking skills, the masters of manipulation will maintain their control.

Answer -- The primary goal of Stillness in the Storm is to help all people become better truth-seekers in a real-time boots-on-the-ground fashion. This is for the purpose of learning to think critically, discovering the truth from within—not just believing things blindly because it came from an "authority" or credible source. Instead of telling you what the truth is, we share information from many sources so that you can discern it for yourself. We focus on teaching you the tools to become your own authority on the truth, gaining self-mastery, sovereignty, and freedom in the process. We want each of you to become your own leaders and masters of personal discernment, and as such, all information should be vetted, analyzed and discerned at a personal level. We also encourage you to discuss your thoughts in the comments section of this site to engage in a group discernment process.
