"Civil War" within Anonymous, Cabal Infiltration Likely – Ghost Squad Hackers Broke Away, Claim Responsibility For Mainstream Take Down of CNN and FOX – NOT Anonymous

(Stillness in the Storm Editor) This story is making it's way around the alternative media, and The Free Thought Project shared a report from AnonHQ stating that factions within the infamous hacker group Anonymous have broken away, as a kind of "Civil War" has been raging within their ranks.

Before discussing that aspect of the story, #OpSilence is one of the latest efforts by another hacktivist group who are seeking to cause problems for mainstream media outlets. The news agencies in question are CNN and FOX, for their refusal to cover war crimes and genocide occurring in the world, specifically in Palestine at the hands of Israeli occupiers.

In an exclusive interview with The Free Thought Project, conducted through private online message service, Sc0rp10n Gh0s7, a figure within the new hacktivist group, Ghost Squad Hackers, said,

“#OpSilence is an operation which targets mainstream media for their ignorance on the genocide that has been going on in Palestine, and what is truly happening in Syria and all over the world,” - (Source)
The following article details some of the overt atrocities conducted at the hands of the Israeli's.

But the seeming cohesiveness of the hacker group Anonymous has apparently dematerialized somewhat. According to the AnonHQ report from June 3rd, 2016,
But there is a second layer to this discussion highlighting the recent divide within Anonymous. There has been a “Civil War” of sorts in recent months, and the reputation of the Anonymous collective as a whole has been damaged. Last winter, prominent hacktivist group Ghostsec also cut their ties with Anonymous. In a statement they said “Anonymous has a habit of shooting in every direction and asking questions later.” In other interviews they imply that Anonymous has developed a reputation for behaving immature – more concerned with silly DDoS’ing attacks than changing the world.

Since the quarreling of #OpWhiteRose many people have splintered off, or left Anonymous entirely – just another in the long list of strange effects Donald Trump has had on the entire world. Ghost Squad is one of the groups effected by this ‘Civil War.’ In the time since this happened last March, the group has exploded onto the scene, quickly becoming one of the most influential and talked about hacking groups in the entire world in 2016. -

Given the fact that the matrix of control has transitioned into a cyber or electronic entity over the past 20 years, there are great risks to the system which could come from well-organized hackers. The powers that should not be, would, therefore, take a keen interest in infiltrating and causing division within any group that has the potential to effect change. And it would also stand to reason that once infiltrated, putting forth hacking projects that do little more than cause minor disruptions, such as the DDOS attacks mentioned above, would limit any real change coming about from the groups efforts.

Many already question the efficacy of Anonymous's efforts over the past years, citing operations that do little more than create hype while the machine of domination and control forges ahead seemingly unhindered.

Given the fact groups have splintered off, it suggests Anonymous has been infiltrated, by at the very least, ineffectual individuals with more interest in creating sensationalism than effecting real change. But the potential of hacktivist groups, whether Anonymous or others, is still great in toppling the now almost totally dependent system on computer technology.

I have included both articles below for your consideration.

“Not Anonymous” — New Hacking Group Declares War on Mainstream, Takes Down CNN and FOX

by Matt Agorist

Amidst a global media blackout of Anonymous and Ghost Squad Hacker’s worldwide attacks on the “corrupt banking cartels,” the hacking groups have taken down some of the most prestigious institutions in global governance. OpIcarus has recently taken offline the World Bank, the New York Stock Exchange, five U.S. Federal Reserve Banks and the Vatican.

After a successful campaign against the banking elite, sources within the hacking community tell the Free Thought Project that the mainstream media is next — and OpSilence has already begun.

On May 31, hacktivists with the Ghost Squad Hackers revealed a massive attack against CNN. Instead of a basic DDoS aginst the CNN.com site, hackers brought down the entire email system within the media giant with 4,000 employees worldwide.

The attack against CNN was the first attack in a campaign which the group has called #OpSilence — a month-long assault on the mainstream media for ignoring the crisis in Palestine.
“#OpSilence is an operation which targets mainstream media for their ignorance on the genocide that has been going on in Palestine, and what is truly happening in Syria and all over the world,” Sc0rp10n Gh0s7, of Ghost Squad Hackers, said in a private online message.

Crimes against Palestine are largely underreported in the mainstream American media, yet they are prevalent enough that even Israelis speak out against them.

Even a top Israeli general, during the country’s annual Holocaust Remembrance Day, addressed and exposed the controversy when he likened the atmosphere in modern day Israel to 1930’s Nazi Germany.

“If there is anything that frightens me in the remembrance of the Holocaust, it is discerning nauseating processes that took place in Europe in general, and in Germany specifically back then, 70, 80 and 90 years ago, and seeing evidence of them here among us in the year 2016,” Maj. Gen. Yair Golan, the Israeli army’s deputy chief of staff said.

Golan referenced the Hebron incident, in which an IDF soldier was filmed executing an already incapacitated Palestinian assailant that was lying on the ground defenseless.

The soldier in question, Sgt. Elor Azaria, has been arrested and brought up on manslaughter charges by a military tribunal for the killing; a move that has been met with ferocious opposition by Zionists who claim that the brazen execution was somehow justified.

In yet another damning crime against humanity, IDF soldiers allegedly gunned down an innocent family. The brutal incident took place at the Qalandia terminal, north of occupied Jerusalem. IDF soldiers reportedly shot and killed the Palestinian mother of two, who was five months pregnant, and her 16-year-old brother. Then they prevented Palestinian medics on the scene from rendering aid.

Exposing the murder of a pregnant woman is hardly antisemitic, yet this label is often thrown around and used to chastise people who dare call out the crimes of the Israeli state.

Even Gen. Golan, who is Jewish, and a general in the Israeli army, was ridiculed for his comments.

Golan’s powerful and striking comments barely registered as a blip on the mainstream’s radar.

After CNN, Ghost Squad Hackers turned their sights to FOX News, and shortly after announcing CNN’s email servers were down, the group tweeted out that FOX’s email servers had been down for at least 8 hours thanks to their efforts.
The group promises more attacks and NBC and MSN appear to be next on their list.

This time, it is different, however, as the group involved, Ghost Squad Hackers are making a point to separate themselves from Anonymous.
According to a report in AnonHQ, the group insists they speak for themselves, they are essentially trying to get their own reputation – credibility.
But there is a second layer to this discussion highlighting the recent divide within Anonymous. There has been a “Civil War” of sorts in recent months, and the reputation of the Anonymous collective as a whole has been damaged. #OpSilence – Ghost Squad Hackers Target Fox News, CNN, NBC and MSN

by Righteous

As of June 1st, Ghost Squad Hackers – one of the groups participating in #OpIcarus – have launched a series of coordinated attacks against leading members of the corporate ‘main stream’ media. Giving credit where credit is due, Tec.mic and Softpedia were the first to report the operation. But their reports only tell a portion of the whole story, we will explain why in a moment.
Broadly speaking, the goal of the #OpSilence is to attack all the corrupt major news networks that mislead and censor information from the general public. More specifically, the news agencies who conceal the crimes of Israel, while misleading the population about the mistreatment of the Palestinian people. The operation is off to a quick start, Ghost Squad has successfully "carried out DDoS attacks on CNN and FOX News" already just this month. More attacks are promised, NBC and MSM appears to be their next target.

When Tech.mic and Softpedia presented their coverage of the hacks, they included images and references directly to Anonymous. But upon reading these articles, Ghost Squad had a message of their own that they want everyone to hear:
It is no secret Ghost Squad has a close affiliation with Anonymous; I am sure this is how the group got started in the first place. The group insists they speak for themselves, they are essentially trying to get their own reputation – credibility.

In a statement they saidAnonymous has a habit of shooting in every direction and asking questions later.” In other interviews they imply that Anonymous has developed a reputation for behaving immature – more concerned with silly DDoS’ing attacks than changing the world.

I have no doubt about the origins of this operation though, this goes back to #OpMediaControl which began last June. The operation called for the hacking of every major news network in the United States, testing their email systems, DDoS’ing web sites, attempting to hack in teleprompters or live feeds – anything you could think of. Last I heard back in December, they were still trying to recruit people to join them for an event this summer. Sound familiar to what Ghost Squad is doing right now?

The following video was from #OpMediaControl release last June:

For the purposes of accuracy, AnonHQ News reached out to our contacts in #OpMediaControl. We gave them a preview of the article and asked them what they thought. They showed us a press release dating May 28, 2016, a video proclaiming that #OpMediaControl has been re-engaged. Of course, #OpSilence proceeded to begin June 1st. In another interesting note, earlier last month Anonymous Resistance Movement, one of the groups behind #OpMediaControl, conducted an interview with GhostSquad. So as you can see, the two groups are well acquainted with one another – these operations are no coincidence.

Ghost Squad may be stepping up from the pack here, but make no mistake, this operation has been in the making for over a year and Anonymous led the way.
